JERICHO HUANG PIANO STUDIO

Jericho Huang is a Vancouver-based classical pianist, teacher, and music producer/composer. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the Vancouver Academy of Music, where he studied under Professor Amanda Chan, and has earned the ARCT Piano Performance Certificate.
Jericho has performed as a soloist, collaborative pianist, choral pianist, and orchestral pianist. In 2018, he appeared as a soloist with the Vancouver Academy of Music Symphony Orchestra at the Orpheum Theatre, performing Saint-Saëns' Carnival of the Animals. During his studies, he received the Dr. G. Herald Keefer Music Award Scholarship and the VAM Award Scholarship.
He welcomes students of all ages and levels — from complete beginners through RCM Levels 1–10 and ARCT — with a strong track record in exam preparation, helping students Passed RCM exam with high score, whether for school applications, volunteer applications or personal achievement. Fluent in English and Mandarin, Cantonese, Jericho is equally comfortable communicating with both students and parents.
Jericho believes great piano playing goes beyond fingers on keys — it involves weight transfer, wrist movement, rotation, and body awareness to produce a truly beautiful sound. His teaching covers all the essentials: sight-reading, theory, rhythm, notation, and expressive musicality, paired with physical and mental practice to build strength, accuracy, and confidence while minimizing injury risk.
